Henry G20 is a bold retelling of the conflict between police and protesters during the G20 Summit in Toronto in June 2010. The story was brought to life by an augmented reality podplay. As visual lead, Debbie Deer headed the photography, 3D modelling, graphic design of AR posters (portals) and AR videos for the production.

Experience:

Found in Stories invites players to experience stories from the African diaspora through the mysterious encounter with 'Anansi' - a spider like African folklore character known for his mischievous wisdom. In Virtual Reality, players sit across Anansi while interacting at a campfire and connecting with stories under a starry night sky.

Thanks to the amazing people at Oya Scale Up Immersive in March 2022, we came together as a group of emerging innovators from the African diaspora to create this virtual reality (VR) prototype. We created an awesome proof of concept on the Oculus 2 over the course of two months.
